Complete set of 7 etchings (lacking the title), 1637. Good impressions, five printed on 17th century paper with differing watermarks, two printed on 18th century paper, trimmed to the borderlines and with intact inscription spaces, a few slight corner repairs.
This series of etchings was produced to illustrate the souvenir book recording the entertainment held in the courtyard of the Pitti Palace to celebrate the Medici-Delle Rovere marriage on July 8th, 1637. The stage machinery, design and choreography were all supplied by the Medici Court artist Alfonso Parigi.
